ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan adjourned the hearing of recounting of votes in PS-114 by-poll until July 19, since the petitioner’s lawyer was not present at the proceeding.
The petitioner, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s Kamran Tessori informed that his lawyer could not attend the case proceedings since he was unwell. Tessori requested the court to adjourn the hearing for two days. The next hearing will now be held on July 19.he chief election commissioner said if the lawyer does not appear in the next hearing, a verdict would be announced.

MQM-P chief Farooq Sattar and leaders of different political parties were also present.
Pakistan Peoples Party’s Aitzaz Ahsan has termed the case baseless.
