Khairpur/Lahore: Opposition leader Khursheed Shah said that Nawaz Sharif should resign from his seat and the ruling party should bring new prime minister rather than crying conspiracy allegations.
Shah, on Sunday, met with former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at Jilani House to discuss the developing political situation after the JIT report on Panama leaks.
Conspiracy excuses by Sharifs can’t justify corruption: In a press conference in Lahore, while calling Maulana Fazlur Rehman an opportunist, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Shafqat Mahmood said the ruling party is frightful following the JIT report, especially, because of the Supreme Court’s Monday hearing.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed the sale agreement of Gulf Steel Mills, but now he has refused to admit to what he did.
“The money trail of Sharif family is connected to the Gulf Steel Mills as UAE government has asserted to have no records pertaining to the company’s dealings,” Mahmood remarked.
Inquiring about financial transactions carried out through various accounts, he said for the ruling party leadership each fact and figure is a conspiracy. “It has been proven that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the marketing manager of FZE Company on a salary of DHR 10,000 but now they [Sharif family and PML-N] claim he was chairperson and manager while taking no salary,” he added.
