Oil tanker carrying 50000 litres of fuel overturns near Bhit Shah

BHIT SHAH: An oil tanker travelling on the National Highway from Sindh to Punjab overturned near Bhit Shah on Sunday (today).

The driver who was reportedly trapped in the front cabin was safely removed.

Following the incident, the police cordoned off the area and called for machinery, fire brigade, and rescue teams to undertake the rescue operation.

The oil tanker was reportedly carrying 50,000 litres of fuel.

In a similar incident the other day, a mini truck carrying fuel overturned on Multan Road near Manga Mandi.

The speeding truck  toppled over after one of its wheels dismantled, following which its oil tank started leaking.
