QUETTA: Another case has been lodged against Balochistan MPA Abdul Majeed Achakzai after forensic examination of the vehicle that ran over a traffic policeman on June 20 revealed that the official vehicle was unregistered.
Reports further stated that the engine and chassis number of the land cruiser had also been tampered with.
As per reports, the MPA had illegally converted an unregistered vehicle into his official vehicle.
The Anti-Terrorism Court thus rejected the MPA’s bail request and extended his judicial remand for three days.
Achakzai is currently in jail on judicial remand after he was charged with killing of traffic policeman Haji Attaulla.
Attaulla, while on duty near Quetta’s GPO Chowk on June 20 was run over Achakzai’s car.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on June 28 taking notice of the incident, summoned a detailed report from the Balochistan police.
