Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Chairman General Zubair Mahmood Hayat Saturday said that Indian intelligence agency (RAW) was operating from Afghanistan and other places to target CPEC and create unrest in Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular.
Addressing the passing out parade of cadets at Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi, he said the Indian intelligence agency is operating from Afghanistan to stoke unrest and instability in the country in general and Balochistan in particular, as well as sabotaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
“Pakistan is confronting adversaries who are involved in indirect sub-conventional warfare against us. Pakistan is also fully aware of those threats from hostile intelligence agencies, especially India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). These hostile intelligence agencies are operating from Afghanistan and other locations to create unrest in Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular. Their designs/actions to sabotage CPEC are also very well known,” the CJCSC remarked.
“To deal with these challenges and threats, we are committed to undertaking synergetic national efforts at the national level. Armed forces have a pivotal role to play in this regard. Make no mistake. We will beat back the enemy’s design,” he added.
“Our response in the military operations paradigm, like the ongoing operation Raddul Fasaad, is not merely military campaigns but are concepts demonstrating national resolve, resilience, and commitment,” General Zubair Hayat said.
He further mentioned that Pakistan seeks harmonious and peaceful coexistence with all countries, especially neighbouring countries. Stability, security and peace in Afghanistan are fundamental to the security of Pakistan, he added. “We shall continue to make all out efforts at bilateral and multilateral levels in this regard,” he vowed. However, he made it clear that Pakistan’s quest for peace and stability is not a one-way traffic.
Commenting on Kashmir issue, he said Pakistan views with great concern the gross atrocities being committed by India in occupied Kashmir.
The CJCSC expressed determination to cleanse Pakistan of the scourge of terrorism.
He further remarked that “Pakistan’s security forces, along with the law enforcement agencies, are playing a crucial role in tackling external state sponsored elements operating through local proxies, hunting down terrorists, and dismantling their networks across the country.”
“Our armed forces are a symbol of national unity and strength, reflecting the aspirations of people who reposed their trust in us due to our unflinching commitment to national security and readiness to law down our lives for the motherland” he asserted.
Gen Hayat said Pakistan is a critical component of regional geostrategy and geo-economy, and vital to the regional solution. He said attempts to isolate Pakistan have failed in the past and will fail in the future as well.
He said in the current scenario, a modern navy is indispensable to confront the maritime challenges. After the CPEC launch, maritime security has increased, especially Gwadar has assumed great significance, which has an important role in the development of Pakistan. He said the government is cognizant of maritime compulsions and providing necessary resources to meet the current and future requirements of Pakistan Navy.
He advised the passing out midshipmen that loyalty to Pakistan must always be their cardinal principle.
The CJCSC said officers from Bahrain, Jordan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are also getting a commission, and was confident that they would prove worthy in their respective navies.
Its time for returns with added incentives, and Pakistan can whine about it all day long
RAW is behind Northern Alliance Leadership and yes will do anything to destabilize not only Pakistan but also Afghanistan. Remember India was the only Country to recognize Afghan Communist Government in late 70’s and 80’s
