In a daylight burglary at the residence of a local leader of ladies wing of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the robbers deprived the family of millions of rupees of cash, gold and other belongings.
According to the police, five unidentified robbers barged into the residence of Shifa Durrani in Mir Hassanabad area and held the family hostage.
The robbers escaped with gold worth around Rs 2 million and prize bonds worth Rs 300,000. Hyderabad SSP Amjad Shaikh while taking strong notice of the robbery suspended SHO Hussainabad police station Haq Nawaz Baloch and handed over investigation of the case to SP Sarfaraz Virk.
