Another incident of the toppling of an oil tanker has taken place in Sheikhupura on Saturday when the tanker turned upside down due to a collision with an electric pole.
Right after the incident, another tanker was called to the incident spot to shift the petrol in it. Rescue teams and fire tenders also rushed to the scene. Owing to the crash with the electric poll, the power of more than 100 villages was put off.
After the tragic incident in Ahmadpur Sharqia, which killed more than two hundred persons when an explosion took place while people were scavenging for fuel from an overturned oil tanker, the tanker accidents have increased rapidly raising concerns among the people.
Tankers have upturned in road accidents in Vehari, Nooriabad, Karak, Attock and Nawabshah resulting in the spilling of thousands of liters of fuel after Ahmadpur Sharqia occurrence.
