In collaboration with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Battagram District Government organised a one-day seminar on Anti-Corruption.
While addressing the seminar, NAB (KP) Additional Director Mian Muhammad Waqar – who was the chief guest on the occasion – urged citizens to launch complaints against irregularities, embezzlement and cheating.
He said that corruption is Pakistan’s biggest problem and all leaders should play their role in eliminating the menace. He said that Quaid-e-Azam recognised this problem in 1947 and termed it a ‘poison.’ He said that since 2013, Pakistan has been improving and is ranked 116/176 in 2016–2017 as per Transparency International Pakistan’s report.
Battagram District Deputy Commissioner said that NAB is playing a key role in eradicating corruption. He urged all segments of society to help battle against corruption and make Pakistan a developed country and an Asian tiger.
