QUETTA: Three suspected terrorists have been reportedly killed during an overnight encounter the other day near Essa Nagri area in Quetta.
A targeted raid was carried out by the police in a house at Eisa Nagri in Quetta on a tip-off. Upon entering the house, the suspected terrorists opened fire on the policemen. In retaliatory firing by the police, three terrorists have been reportedly killed. A huge cache of arms and ammunition, including five-kilogram of explosive content, was also recovered from the house, police informed.
The area has been cordoned off by the security officials.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has praised the police for their efforts in continuing counter-terrorism efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the province.
Moreover, in a police encounter in Lahore, two bandits have been reportedly killed. The deceased have been identified as Nasir and Ateeq.
