Man robbed of 30 million at Benazir International Airport

A money-changer arriving from Karachi was robbed of 30 million rupees by an unknown thief. The airport authorities took action after the victim raised a hue and cry.

Muhammad Aslam, a money-changer, arrived from Karachi via PA-200 and had four packets of currency. One of the packets contained 30 million rupees.

The passenger said that he was talking on phone in the airport lounge and was waiting for someone. He said that he had put the four packets of the currency near him. When he finished talking on the phone, he saw that one of the packet, which contained the 30 million rupees, was missing.

The airport authorities reached the place and started searching for the thief through the CCTV cameras and other sources. The victim has lodged an application in the Airport Police Station.
