ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, on Thursday, summoned the session of the Upper House of the Parliament on Monday (July 17) evening at 4 pm.
The chairman has summoned this session in the exercise of powers conferred by clause (3) of article 54, read with Article 61 of the Constitution, on a requisition by the opposition parties.
The House would take up 14 agenda items during the session.
Some of the important items included implication of the statement of the US Armed Services Committee chairman in Kabul soon after his visit to North Waziristan , the issue of missing persons, the inaction on FATA Reforms project approved by the cabinet, inability of the government to place before the Parliament the Right to Information Act, the threat to freedom of expression by misuse of Electronic Crimes Act, the ToRs of the Riyadh-based Military Alliance and its impact on Pakistan, and NAB’s failure to continue investigations in the Rs 19 billion DHA mega scam.
