Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah, on Thursday, said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif has lost the credibility to head the government; therefore, he must resign. Shah said this while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

If the prime minister does not resign, the democratic values will be compromised.

Shah said that the PML-N was looking to confront the national institutions and judiciary, but how are they going to do that, he questioned. It’s not 90s anymore when Nawaz Sharif got away with the attack on the Supreme Court, which was very unfortunate, as PML-N has not left its policies of hurting the state institutions.

Pakistan People’s Party was labelled as a ‘friendly opposition’ in 2014, but, now, we will not be so friendly, he said. The PPP stands in solidarity with all the national institutions.

Commenting on the JIT report, he said that the opposition parties will discuss the report in detail at the next meeting.
