Twin bombings shook northeastern Cameroon, killing 14 people and injuring 30 more on Wednesday evening.
Local media has reported that the bombing took place in the locality of Homaka, near Waza. Just recently, on the fourth of July, four people were killed in a similar bombing claimed by the infamous Boko Haram.
Security officials have suggested that notorious Islamist terrorist organization, Boko Haram, which has been plaguing Central Africa since 2009 with their gruesome efforts to form an Islamic state, was behind this attack.
The bombings took place in Waza, near the Nigerian border, and targeted a hectic market place. Two bombers blew themselves up and security officials suggested on Thursday that the bombings were the brainchild of the Boko Haram.
They also added that the town has been closed off and they are doing their best to ensure the seriously wounded are brought back to health as soon as possible. Safety measures are being taken and the town has been sealed off.
The wave of terror that Boko Haram sprung up mainly in Nigeria in 2009 has crept its way into bordering areas such as Cameroon, with the first attack on Cameroon occurring in 2014. Thousands of policemen, citizens and soldiers have been brutally murdered due to this wave of terror and they do not plan to stop until they achieve their goal of forming an Islamic state. Their mysterious leader, Abubakar Muhammad Shekau, has exclaimed time and time again that the organization will not stop until they reach their ultimate objective.
