KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Airbus A320, en route from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar, escaped calamity, as a panel from the left wing of the plane got detached during the flight.

According to reports, the incident damaged the plane severely but Captain Ali Mansoor, the pilot of the plane, managed to land the Airbus safely at the Peshawar airport.

Furthermore, the plane has been repaired at Peshawar airport, and the passengers have been sent to Karachi via flight PK-353.

  1. Many thanks for Allah how saved the precious lives and the Airbus. I suggest a few actions to be taken to avoid such a justmiss situation. 1. All other Airbuses should be inspected for the same fault. 2. PIA maintenance division should revise the relevant work instructions and check lists. 3. The maintenance audit should be introduced by third party after major maintenance activities.
