Action against a lecturer, who is absent from his duty since the last four years, is not being taken by the Higher Education Department Punjab.
Sohail Abbas Khan, an Urdu lecturer of Government Degree College Murree, had gone on six months leave to Japan in 2013, however, he failed to return, according to sources. The Higher Education Department Punjab remained silent over the matter of lecturer absence and later the department issued him two notices asking him to file his reply against the notice. However, he failed to respond.
Few days earlier another letter No (11/59/99-ce) was issued to him directing him to appear on 11th July 2017 before the Secretary Higher Education Department Punjab, however, the College principal responded that he was not present in country.
