JIT finds off-shore company owned by PM Nawaz Shareef

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) made by Supreme Court of Pakistan to investigate Panama corruption charges against Sharif family has discovered a new offshore company owned by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself.

The JIT which was instituted to investigate the offshore companies owned by the PM’s children, has discovered an offshore company.

Nawaz Sharif who claimed to be dependant on his children, was found out to be drawing monthly salary of 10,000 dirhams.

According to the final JIT report, the PM got iqama in Dubai in 2009 on the basis of this job.

The JIT also said Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz gifted him Rs.1.40 billion from 2009 to 2017; of this, he presented Rs.820 million to her daughter Maryam Nawaz and Rs.100 million to his party.

His party returned Rs.45 million of this money.

Talking to reportees, PPP leader Senator Aitezaz Ahsan said a criminal case may be filed against Nawaz Sharif on the basis of these charges.

Moreover, the JIT has declared the money trail given by Sharif family as rubbish.
