4 Indian soldiers killed, 2 Indian check posts destroyed: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Unprovoked firing by Indian troops along Line of Control (LoC) early Monday morning led to five innocent people being martyred which included four women, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed.

Four others including three girls were reportedly injured due to the firing in Rawalakot sector, Satwal, Manwal, Tatrinote areas along the LoC.

Pakistan Army befittingly responded and killed four Indian troops and destroyed their two check posts, informed Pakistan Army’s media cell.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh twice in two days over Indian troops’ continuous violation of the Line of Control (LoC) ceasefire agreement.

The FO also recorded a protest over the martyrdom of three civilians in cross-LoC firing by Indian forces.

On Saturday, JP Singh was summoned after Indian troops martyred two civilians, including a girl, in unprovoked firing at LoC in Chirikot and Satwal sectors.

The latest incident of cross-border firing comes the day after thousands of Kashmiris observed Burhan Wani’s first death anniversary.
