Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz, has urged the Building Control Section (BCS) of the CDA to work towards the betterment of the capital, stressing it is a vital organ of the CDA.
The Mayor expressed these views while chairing a monthly review meeting of the BCS at the CDA headquarters. He said that the performance of BCS is satisfactory but they should be striving for more as there is always room for improvement.
Mayor Aziz further stated that all building and construction related projects in the capital city revolve around the BCS, and it therefore needs to rise to the occasion and double down on its efforts to help improve the city. Moreover, he pledged that the necessary means will be provided to BCS for this purpose.
The comments came after Sheikh Anser Aziz was briefed as to the BCS’s activities for June at the monthly review meeting.
According to the reports issued at the meeting, the CDA approved 105 building plans, 63 completion certificates and approvals, 120 NOCs, commercialization charges, and additional charges during the month past. In lieu of these services, the revenue accumulated by the BCS totaled to Rs.39,651,654.
During the meeting director BCS added that the BCS-I Section approved 38 building plans, 13 completion certificates and 40 cases of commercialization charges and NOCs, adding revenue of Rs.25,548,120/- for the month of June.
Meanwhile BCS-II approved 30 completion certificates, 43 building plans, and 52 cases of commercialization charges and NOCs during the month of June meaning an overall revenue of Rs.8,393,549.
Furthermore BCS-III issued 20 completion certificates during the month of June, 24 building plans and 28 cases of commercialization charges and NOCs were also approved, resulting in an overall revenue collection of Rs.5,709,985.
