SRINAGAR: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and elsewhere in the world on Saturday are marking the first martyrdom anniversary of Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
The anniversary is being observed with a renewed pledge to continue the mission of martyrs till success of the struggle for liberation of Kashmir.
Political, religious and social organizations have chalked out a number of programs to pay homage to the young Kashmiri freedom fighter who lost his life while striving for the freedom of his motherland.
The day dawned with special prayers for the martyrs and victory of the freedom movement in Kashmir.
A debate competition of students titled “The Role of Burhan Muzaffar Wani in Kashmir Liberation Struggle” will be held in Muzaffarabad under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell.
Azad Kashmir Radio Muzaffarabad is airing special programs in connection with the first martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
In Islamabad, All Parties Hurriyat Conference will organise a protest walk. Leaders of political and religious parties, civil society, and Kashmiri people will participate in the walk. –
