LAHORE: Ajoka theatre’s three-day acting workshop started in Lahore here the other day.
The “A Acting” workshop is being conduced by actor-director Nirvaan Nadeem and aims to train young people in the art of acting for theatre and television
Ajoka’s Executive Director Shahid Nadeem welcomed the participants and stressed that artists should learn the skills of acting but should also develop a bond with the society. During the three-day workshop, participants will attend various sessions on expressions, dialogue delivery, script reading and movement. Nirvaan, assisted by Ajoka’s Anum Zaheer, will conduct various exercises and games to teach the skills of acting followed by improvisations of various characters and situations. On Saturday, veteran theatre and TV personalities Naeem Tahir and Yasmin Tahir will talk about the differences between stage and TV acting and the importance of voice training. On Sunday, TV star Savera Nadeem will share her experiences as a theatre and TV artist.
The participants of the workshop include young students from Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan and Faisalabad.
