Assistant Commissioner Sahiwal sacked for breaking into female doctors’ hostel



The Assistant Commissioner of the Sahiwal Division, Ayub Bukhari, barged into the girl’s hostel of the DHQ teaching hospital Sahiwal in an attempt to force doctors to act as ushers for a VVIP visit to a coal field power project in Qadarabad.

The transgression resulted in the Assistant Commisionner and Superintendent Doctor Akhtar Raza, who had helped the AC in his antics, being sacked on the orders of the Governor of Punjab, Shahbaz Shareef’s orders for exhibiting behaviour that was in breach of “rules and regulations of medical ethics”, as the complaints against the duo were filed.

The Female house officers took up the issue with the principal of the college and in the letter detailed that the AC came off in an angry and intimidating manner and that he also encroached upon to the personal property of the residents he wished.
