The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday directed the National Accontability Bureau (NAB) to submit details about references filed by it against former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen.
A division bench headed by Justice Aamer Farooq heard the appeal of former minister for acquittal from the rental power case.
During the course of proceeding, petitioner’s counsel Suleman Butt argued that his client had initiated power projects in accordance with the prescribed policy, which were launched after the approval of the then cabinet and prime minister.
He prayed the court to acquit Tareen in the rental power case, which was under trial in an accountability court.
Seeking details about all the references filed by the NAB against Shaukat Tareen, the court adjourned the case till September 21.
