KAMOKE: A petrol shop on Kasoki Road went on fire late the other day when an oil shipment was being offloaded from an oil tanker close to the shop and flames from an electric motor went out of control, turning into a blaze. It took about an hour for the firefighters to bring the fire under control. However, Assistant Superintendent (ASI) Javed Iqbal who was busy evacuating the people passed out due to smoke inhalation and later passed away on his way to the hospital.
As per rescue officials’ report, the wounded, which included owners Zeeshan and Jibran Ibad and employee Waqar were shifted to a nearby hospital.
