- Zubair says PM to visit Sindh soon
Sindh Governor House is open to every political activist who is keen on resolving problems of the masses.
These views were expressed by Governor Muhammad Zubair during a reception hosted in his honour by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shah Zaman Shah at Bhanot, district Matiari on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the Governor House, Muhammad Zubair, on the occasion, said that the problems of masses can be discussed in the Governor House and it will be addressed on strong lines and with utmost sincerity by the PML-N leadership, the governor added.
Mentioning that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has visited the province no less than seven times during the recent past, he said the prime minister is keen to bring Sindh at par with other developed parts of the country.
He said the prime minister will soon be visiting Sindh to announce a full-fledged and an ambitious development package for the province.
Referring to positive changes brought about in the provincial capital, he said Karachi until a few years ago used to get shut down at 10 minutes ultimatum which severely affected public life but now is a changed city.
Terrorists’ activities have been curtailed here for quite some time and massive commercial cum business activities are drawing the significant attention of investors, said the governor.
He said the federal government is keen to ensure that optimum investment is made in Karachi.
Meanwhile, the governor, while speaking to media in Hala, during a visit said that the hype surrounding July 10, when the Panama case Joint Investigation Team will present its report to the Supreme Court, is misguided.
Only, the report will be submitted to the apex court on July 10, following which the special bench will review it, a process that may take weeks and even months.
The governor, however, noted that “the one good thing everyone should acknowledge is that the investigations are being done in accordance with the law. If this was the 1990s, the whole system would have been wrapped up.”
The federal and Sindh governments are not going anywhere and general elections will be held in 2018, he assured.
Earlier, the governor visited the shrine of Sufi saint Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and offered Fateha.
