ISLAMABAD: Ex-foreign minister of Pakistan and current Vice Chairman of PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi has stated the other day, the then-president Asif Ali Zardari and prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani tried to obtain immunity for US national Raymond Davis through him, local media outlet reported.
Qureshi, however, had responded by saying that the American citizen did not deserve political immunity. He went on to add that he had told the two leaders that nothing could remain concealed for too long and it will be out in the open some day.
“I told them not to play with the sentiments of the nation in order to appease the United States,” the PTI leader claimed.
