LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced financial assistance of eight lakh rupees each for the heirs of those died in the cable car ‘doli’ incident.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab government equally shares the grief of aggrieved families.
It is worth mentioning that the incident of ‘doli’ lift falling took place within the limits of Police Station Lora, Haveliyan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and those died in the incident belonged to Rawalpindi/Islamabad.
At least 12 people died and two were injured when a cable car ‘doli’ installed by local villagers broke away from the wires and fell at Charra Pani in the Galiyat region of northern Pakistan on Thursday, rescue officials said.
