RAWALPINDI: The Pirwadhai Police have arrested a son of a police officer for his alleged involvement in over 60 cases of robbery in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
According to media reports, the Pirwadhai station house officer (SHO) said that a police squad, which was set up for curbing theft and robbery incidents, had arrested the alleged suspect, identified as Ahsan Manzoor.
The alleged suspect is from Lahore and is residing in Rawalpindi along with his wife at his aunt’s house after having a quarrel with his parents in Lahore.
According to the police, the suspect was involved in more than sixty robbery bids in twin cities. His father is a sub-inspector and stepbrother is police constable in Lahore Police.
The suspect used to commit robberies alone and he had snatched valuables, cash and mobile phones worth million of rupees from the citizens.
