In a meeting between Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafeez-ur-Rehman and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad today matters related to the development of Gilgit Baltistan came under discussion.
The Chief Minister hailed the Prime Minister’s efforts for increasing Gilgit-Baltistan budget besides giving approval to a huge amount for public sector development projects in the area.
Hafeez-ur-Rehman said the Prime Minister will visit Gilgit Baltistan on 20th of this month and lay the foundation stone of Gilgit-Skardu road expansion project.
Meanwhile talking to a news channel, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring jobs and promote tourism in the area.
He said road infrastructure, hotels, health and other facilities will also help improve the living standard of the people of the area.
Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman said besides Engineering and Medical College, two universities will be established to facilitate the students of Gilgit-Baltistan.
While answering a question he told that the completion of power projects including Dasu will meet the growing demand of electricity in the country
