Sikh community protests against Indian govt for denying visas to visit Pakistan

A large number of Sikh have protested against the Indian government for denying issuing visa to Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan to attend death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.

They gathered at the Gurdwara Dehra Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev to protest against the rigid attitude of the Modi government.They were holding banners and placards, inscribing messages against India.

The Sikh community leaders claimed that the Indian government  has violated the United Nations (UN) regulations.

On Wednesday, the Indian rail authorities prevented some 300 Sikh pilgrims from entering Pakistan through Pakistan Railways Special Pilgrim Train.

The PR had prepared a special train for Sikh pilgrims, who wanted to participate in the 10-day religious event.
