Security forces foiled a sabotage bid and defused 8 kg improvised explosive devices (IED) near railway track in Mach area of Bolan District on Friday.
According to Levies sources, following a tip, security forces along with bomb disposal squad reached the site and defused 8 kg IED, attached with track of railway by unknown men in Mach area.
Railways sources said that IEDs were planted to damage a Rawalpindi-bound Jaffar Express from Quetta which was foiled by security forces. Bolan Mail at Sepazand Railway Station and Jaffar Express were stopped at Kulpur Railway Station after getting information about planted IEDs. The train services were restored after defusing of planted IEDs.
