QUETTA: Son of deceased traffic policeman Haji Attaulla – victim of hit and run incident near Quetta’s GPO Chowk has denied reports of compromise with MPA Dr Abdul Majeed Khan Achakzai. Recently, a video went viral on social media showing the MPA’s vehicle running over the traffic policeman.
“Neither have we reached any agreement nor are we willing to compromise,” said the son of the slain policeman, Moazzam Attaullah.
“Ziarat District Commissioner Muhammad Rafique came for Fatiha Khwaani and to give Eid greetings. He gave us Rs200,000 as Eidi and gave us a blank paper and asked us to sign and write that we have received the amount for Eidi,” stated Moazzam.
Moazzam claimed that they had taken their grandfather’s and uncle’s signature by deceit adding that the family will not forgive his father’s murderer. “The Supreme Court will avenge our father’s death,” he added.
Earlier an alleged agreement letter appeared on social media showing that the family has pardoned the MPA after accepting Rs 200,000 and deciding not to proceed with the case.
