LARKANA: Larkana Division Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch has imposed rain/flood emergency in the entire five districts of Larkana Division and cancelled leave for 10 days of all concerned departments’ officials with direction to resume their duties immediately.
He also ordered the establishment of rain/flood emergency control room in his office which will work under the supervision of Additional Commissioner-1 Ahmed Sultan Khoso who has also been appointed as its focal person.
The commissioner directed all the deputy commissioners of Jacobabad, Kashmore Kandhkot, Kambar-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur and Larkana to establish rain/flood emergency control rooms in their respective districts immediately. Baloch has further instructed them to remain alerted and ensure draining out stagnant rain water for which dewater pumps, standby generators along with diesel/petrol be also made available at all the relevant sites so that residents should not suffer at all.
