ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), on Thursday, has reviewed the precautionary measures for Monsoon season to avoid any untoward situation.
NDMA Chairman Umer Mehmood Hayat called the emergency meeting on the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
While addressing the briefing, he said that “we have revived the precautionary measure plan according to the new Monsoon conditions.”
He said adequate emergency measures would be ensured throughout the country to contain any potential damage to the minimum.
The situation created due to monsoon rains is being monitored by the authority; all dams and rivers have been under observation.
Dir to Chitral Highway (N-45) blocked due to land sliding has been reopened for the traffic with the collaboration of the National Highway Authority.
