Death toll of Ahmedpur Sharqia oil tanker fire incident rises to 190

BAHAWALPUR: Four more victims who were under treatment at the burn unit of Nishtar Hospital in Multan have passed taking the death toll of Ahmedpur Sharqia oil tanker fire to 190.

 So far 27 people affected by the incident have succumbed to their burn wounds at the hospital.

The four were between the ages of 12 and 22, including a 12-year-old, 16-year-old Samiullah, 18-year-old Farhan and 22-year-old Abdul Khaliq.

 The oil tanker driver also passed away at the burn unit the other day.

The incident took place on a route of the National Highway on June 25, when a  large number of people gathered to collect leaking oil from the tanker. The leaking overturned oil tanker exploded into an inferno killing over 150 people and injuring over 100 people.
