Parts of KP struck by 5.3-magnitude earthquake

PESHAWAR: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday morning.

The epicentre of the quake, which rocked KP was Hindukush region in Afghanistan located at a depth of 213 kilometres.

Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Chitral, Upper Dir and Malakand.

No information on casualties or damage from the quake has been provided to date.
