ISLAMABAD: Pakistan says it will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for the realisation of their right to self-determination.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria in a statement said that the 70-year-old indigenous struggle of Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir remains legitimate.

The spokesperson said that designation of individuals supporting the Kashmiri right to self-determination as terrorists is completely unjustified.

He said the gross and systematic violations of human rights in occupied Kashmir have been recorded and reported by independent human rights bodies.

Zakaria said that despite relentless state terror, the Kashmiris remain undeterred and unbowed.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan has demonstrated longstanding commitment in combating terror in all its forms and manifestations.

He further added that the people of Pakistan have rendered immense sacrifices in both blood and material to end this scourge which the international community has acknowledged.
