ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has vowed that there would never be any compromise on the rights of Kashmiris as Pakistan would continue to support their just cause till realisation of the right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.
He was reacting to the statement issued after Indian Prime Minister’s meeting with the United States President in Washington, which seems to regard the bloodletting of innocent Kashmiris by India as insignificant.
The interior minister said that the right of self-determination and freedom from Indian subjugation is the destiny of Kashmiris and no power on earth can deprive them of this legitimate right.
He also lamented that the US administration has started speaking the language of India, which is not only guilty of grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir but is also trying to portray their just freedom struggle as terrorism. India’s oppressive posture should have been a source of concern for a principled and conscientious nation, he added.
The interior minister also said that the statement of the American administration gives an impression that international laws on human rights are not applicable in the case of Kashmiris and serious crimes including blood bath of innocent people can be ignored.
He said that ignoring the role of a country guilty of state terrorism is a negation of justice and global values and exposes double standards of the powers that claim to be champions of human rights and democracy.
The further said that the situation demands complete national unity, resolve, and perseverance by people of Pakistan.
He said we should convey an unambiguous message to Kashmiri brethren that there would be no wavering in extending them moral, political and diplomatic support.
Pakistan would continue to fight the case of Kashmiris with full determination at all forums and prick the conscience of the international community, he added.
