Cheques distributed among patients injured in oil tanker incident

MULTAN: Compensation cheques were distributed among the injured of Ahmad Pur East oil tanker incident at Nishtar burn unit here on Wednesday.

PML-N MNA Mujahid Ali Shah, MPAs Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Haji Ehsan-ud-Din, Commissioner Bilal Butt, RPO Sultan Azam Taimoori and Deputy Commissioner Nadir Chatha were present on the occasion.

Cheques of one million rupees each were distributed among the injured.

On this occasion, MNA Mujahid Ali said that the tragic incident had saddened the whole nation sad on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Commissioner Bilal Butt directed the district administration to make better arrangements for the attendants of the victims.

Burn unit in-charge, Dr Naheed Chaudhary, while giving a briefing said that over 60 injured victims were shifted to the burn unit here from Bahawalpur. He said that the best medical treatment facilities were being provided to the injured.
