RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation Department have sealed at least 62 residential and commercial properties for failing to pay property tax.
The property owners were tax defaulters of over Rs3.0 million, however, around Rs1.6 million tax money were recovered during operations in last one week and deposited in the national kitty.
The operations against tax defaulters were speeded up after the authorities attempted to achieve the required target set.
