People will be allowed to enter the Eid congregation only after passing through a rigorous three-tier security layer while additional police force will also be deputed in the parks and graveyards, he added.

According to DIG Operation Dr Haider Ashraf, special monitoring teams of police have been formed and strict action will be taken against those involved in one-wheeling, aerial firing and kite-flying on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. “The parking of vehicles will be made at a distance of 200 meters from the place of Eid congregations in order to ensure the foolproof security,” DIG Operations said. Moreover, an additional police force will be deputed at the entry and exit points of the city with special combing operations carried out in the Afghan localities of the city.
