ISLAMABAD: The authorities disallowed people from offering the Jumatul Wida prayers in Srinagar’s central mosque, Indian occupied Kashmir (IHK) on Friday.
All roads leading to the grand mosque were sealed since early morning. Concertina wires were laid around the entry points, Kashmir Media Service (KMS) reported.
Reports said that it was after the brutal Dogra regime that the Jumatul Wida prayers were not allowed in the historic mosque.
Hurriyet Forum Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that it was for the first time in the living memory of people that they were barred from offering Jumatul Wida prayers at the mosque.
