HBO has just released the second trailer for the seventh season of the epic medieval fantasy series, ‘Game of Thrones’ on Wednesday, and it’s even more chilling than the first.
Here’s a little breakdown of the most pivotal moments in the trailer:
The trailer begins with Sansa walking apprehensively as we hear Littlefinger saying, “Don’t fight in the north, or the south. Fight every battle, everywhere, always in your mind.”
Daenerys seems to have touched down in Westeros.
Jon apparently making an argument for forging an alliance against the White Walkers: “For centuries our families fought together against their common enemy. Despite their differences, together. We need to do the same if we’re going to survive. Because the enemy is real, it’s always been real.”
Oh and it seems that the long lost Without Banners leader Beric Dondarrion is back, and that too in full action!
The last shot takes the cake however, with Jon — the only half Stark, half Targaryen — looking at a battlefield of fire and ice. What perfect imagery!
It ends with Sansa ends reiterating Jon Snow’s message of unity.
“When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies — but the pack survives,” she says.
Game of Thrones returns July 16 to HBO.
