Gwadar Airport to remain closed for one month to expand runway

GWADAR: Gwadar International Airport will remain closed for one month in order to work on the runway expansion project.

The airport will remain closed from July 1 to July 30 and the flight operation will stay suspended.

Furthermore, no decision has been taken regarding the use of the alternate airport, however, Turbat or Pasni’s airport might be used for alternate flight operation.

According to reports, A320 planes will also be able to land on the runway of Gwadar airport once its expansion work is completed.
