Burgers and real estate: All the goodies the Pakistan team is getting courtesy their champions trophy win!

The Pakistan cricket team’s triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy has the entire nation up in flames with happiness. The team bus was surrounded by adoring crowds outside the Oval and their reception back home has been fitting. Cheering crowds shouted slogans as the team entered the country greeted with sweets and the customary flower garlands. More recently the cheering crowds outside the home of victorious Captain Sarfraz Ahmed that gathered as he displayed the tournament trophy on his home’s balcony have garnered a lot of attention.

And while the love the team has been getting from the crowds has been amazing, and the monumental win they have managed to pull of is fully deserving of the $2.2 million prize money given to them by the ICC and much more.  The team has rightfully been showered with a number of gifts, perks and goodies from organisations and individuals. Here’s a look at some of the benefits they have reaped from their monumental win:

Free lifetime burgers from Johnny & Juggnu 

Just a day before what is now the historic 180 run win over India, local fast-food chain Johnny & Juggnu announced that the team would be eligible for free lifetime food from J&J if they were able to pull off a win against the favourites India.

The fast-food restaurant was apparently pretty confident about the team winning given the number of terms and conditions they made sure to specify in fine print. The offer was only for the playing 11 on that day (sorry Ahmed Shehzad and Wahab Riaz), and applies only for one burger or takeaway order for a day.

And while people commenting online said the team deserved more, Johnny & Jugnu definitely came through on their promising publishing this post entitling the squad to free fast food for the rest of their lives (with the same terms and conditions of course0:

The $2.2 million purse for the tournament is undoubtedly an amount that international stars of this caliber deserve. And while they must all be particularly pleased by the prize money, it doesn’t just end there. TV network Bol News announce via their facebook page that for their efforts Bol would be handing over a Rs 1 crore prize to the entire Pakistan cricket team!

If that wasn’t enough, the CEO of Bahria Town Ali Ahmed Riaz Malik has also announced a Rs 1 million cash prize for every member of the champions trophy squad!

Real estate:

Fakhar Zaman should put on some white shoes and rent an office because for his scintillating hundred at the Oval on Sunday, he is being given a special award by the Bahria Town CEO: a residential plot of 1 kannal in the housing society! We hope the high flying opener can keep up his antics and keep performing for the Pakistan cricket team the way he has in this tournament and especially the final!
