‘PM, CM set highest benchmark by appearing before JIT’

 

 

PML-N Women Wing Provincial Secretary Information Farrah Khan said here Monday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif have set a highest benchmark for others by appearing before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for upholding sanctity of rule of law in the country.

She said PML-N strongly believed in supremacy of law, justice and constitution in the country. In a press statement issued here, Farrah Khan said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif had made history by appearing before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that was unprecedented in the history of Pakistan.

She said appearance before JIT has increased the popularity of prime minister and Punjab chief minister. She said the people of every walk of life including lawyers, academicians, politicians and civil society organizations have highly appreciated this act.

‘Indeed, it was unprecedented in the 69 years history of Pakistan that a sitting prime minister was appeared before JIT despite his name was not mentioned in the Panama papers and presented his entire family for accountability’.

The PM appearance has reflected his strong commitment for supremacy of rule of law and constitution in the country, she added. She said Sharif family was extending full support to JIT and the PM’s sons had also appeared before it on a number of occasions, reflecting their cooperation for supremacy of rule of law and justice system in the country.

She said PMLN was the most popular party having strong roots in masses and would emerge victorious in 2018 general elections. Farrah said Hazara Motorway, Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital Swat, economic revitalization, Peshawar Northern Bypass, CPEC and Lawari Tunnel projects were gift of Prime Minister for people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

These projects would not only help expedite pace of economic development but would promote industrialization and provide better health delivery system to people.
