LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan the other day stated that former deputy director of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Inamur Rehman has “evidence of money laundering against Sharif family and there are threats to his life”. Khan while talking to the media also claimed that Rehman made important revelations relating to Huddaibiya Paper Mills and Sharif family, and that the Panama case joint investigation team (JIT) should summon him.
“Those loyal to the Godfather are threatening the former FIA official,” he said, calling for providing security to Rehman.
The PTI chairman criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, for claiming that they have never been involved in any corruption.
Khan asserted that the prime minister should step down, for the institutions are under him.
