Yesterday was a historic day for the Pakistani cricket team along with the Nation itself, as Pakistan defeated India in the Champions Trophy final against all the odds. Celebrations ran wild as we saw the passion of Pakistani supporters all over the world. Among the celebrations, however, PSL chairman, Najam Sethi was allegedly man handled by a small group of rowdy PTI supporters.

The incident supposedly took place outside the Oval after Pakistan’s win. It was implied that the PCB executive was targeted for his political linkage to the PML-N.

The news broken on twitter when Sethi retweteed Miftah Ismail’s account of the episode.

Currently trending on social media, the news has created a divide between the people. In a post-victory atmosphere where the country is basking in a rare feeling of national unity, the spat has been the one bleak spot in the atmosphere since the team’s victory.

A lot of people were suspicious of what Sethi claimed and were not shy about bringing up their opinions:

Irrespective of whether the alleged events took place, a physical attack on anyone is highly condemned, whether it’s Najam Sethi or any John/Jane Doe.
