On the directives of sessions’ judge, Civil Judge Mangha Ram conducted a raid at Model Police Station on Friday and found Nadeem Jamali, a resident of Kadhan Town, locked up in the jail.
The police however, managed to save themselves and registered an FIR U/S 504, 506/2, 35 PPC prior to the raid conducted by the judge. The judge directed SHO Ibrahim Jatoi to appear with record and the detainee for seeking remand within 24 hours in the court.
According to a complaint filed by Zaheer Jamali that his cousin Nadeem Jamali who was a cattle trader in Badin was coming home after selling his goats at Karachi but he was arrested by the police in Badin city without any charge. Nadeem Jamali told the journalists that the police snatched Rs 60,000 and put him behind the bars.
Badin SHO told the journalists that police suspected the vehicle which had no papers and also Nadeem threatened the police.
