Two new dams to be constructed in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Irrigation Department has decided to construct two new small dams in Rawalpindi to overcome water shortage.

Arrangements will be made to utilise rain water and flood water through these two dams.

According to media reports, as many as two small dams will be constructed in Rawalpindi and one each in DG Khan and Rajan Pur at the cost of Rs6.77 billion.

This was said by Punjab Irrigation Minister Amanat Ullah Khan Shadi Khel in a meeting.
