- Sanaullah suggests investigators to summon Punjab CM for long-hours
Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah has said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) members are not doing investigation rather doing PhD (doctor of philosophy) on Sharif family.
Talking to journalists outside the Punjab Assembly, he said that the JIT members seemed interested in writing PhD thesis on the Sharif family. “If they are intending to do a PhD on the Sharif family, they should summon Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Shairf who had written story of courage and valour,” he added.
He said that no one can provide the information Shahbaz had for the ‘thesis.’ He said that another advantage of calling Chief Minister Shehbaz was that he wouldn’t complain about the long hours of interrogation. “Instead, the JIT members would tire of listening to him (Shehbaz), he said.
“The manner in which the JIT is handling interrogations is casting a shadow of doubt over its credibility,” he maintained. Lashing out at the JIT, he said that they had objections to the procedure adopted by the investigators for investigation.
“This is not the proper way of investigation to seek school certificates of children,” he commented. He urged the Supreme Court to take notice of this behaviour. He warned that if the JIT create a new issue on daily basis, it could be a fish bone in court’s throat, which it neither rejects nor swallows.
Terming it a conspiracy, the law minister said that it was not a conspiracy against Sharif family rather against Pakistan, its progress and independent judiciary. He added that people would foil all conspiracies being hatched against the PML-N and its leadership.
Yes this could be more than a thesis on their longstanding unearth Corruption and Corrupt Practices. Truly a “Godfather”
Anyone from the government speaking publicly about the functioning of SC appointed JIT should be considered contempt of court itself. Any reservations there may be must be communicated to SC directly. I agree with KSK, the amount of corruption will educate the investigating team so much that they’d end up writing PhD thesis in White Collar Crime Investigations 🙂
